Literature Text

The moon bathes me with its light.
The cold winter winds envelopes me.
I am standing here waiting for you,
Longing to see you once more.

Time elapses…

I have lost count of the days that passed.
Unaffected by the changing seasons,
For my love is unchanged.
My heart is frozen till I see you again.

But my love time is unkind.
Though my heart is filled with longing,
I have aged and my body is frail.
Still I wait for you beneath the moonlight.

The sands of time run out,
I rejoin the soil.

When you return it shall be too late.
For time as corrupted this body,
The soil has reclaimed it.
I am gone…

Still you profess your love,
You ask for my forgiveness.
My Adonis you have not sinned!
Go live and love….

Once in awhile bask in the moonlight
And think of me.
I remember this poem being about a girl who fell in love with a young immortal but when he left he lost track of time and time caught up with the girl....

Haha randomness old poem :)
